Headwaters Outdoor School

Earth Caretaker School

Nature Retreat

It has been said by many people who have visited our land that it is one of the most beautiful places they have ever seen.

Cost: $125 per day per person
Date(s): August 1, 2021 to August 6, 2021

Our land has been compared to the beauty of our National Parks without the crowds. Headwaters is an intimate setting at the base of the Eddies Mountain range bordering the Shasta-Trinity Forest.

We have set aside days for those who would like to enjoy their time on our land without a scheduled class. This unstructured time is a gift you can give yourself to rejuvenate and soak up all of what nature has to give you. Enjoying your time in solitude or in quality time with friends and family is up to you.

During this week there will be less activity on the land than any other time during our regularly scheduled class times. You can choose which days you would like to stay. If this particular week doesn’t work for your schedule you can contact us and ask when another good time might be that works for your schedule and ours. Keep in mind any other week there will be a lot more activity going on in camp during your stay.

We will provide Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner during your stay, unless you choose otherwise. Contact us to ask about Family Rates.

Some activities or non-activities available are hiking, dipping in our creeks, hanging out in hammocks, crafting, climbing our sacred, elder trees, wandering in our gardens, roasting marshmallows or enjoying our sauna. Create your own down time!

“To me, Headwaters Outdoor School means that there is hope in this world. Without going back to the land in a conscious way, there is no hope.”

“My first winter class back in ’93 was a monumental event in my life, as my journal reveals. My connection to the Earth was so powerful (right then). I owe much of that to Tim and his presence with Nature.”

“Between the strokes of the bow drill and reading tracks in the snow, I received gifts unexpected: family, community, inspiration, laughter and the relationship with nature beyond belief.”
