Students will get the opportunity to put some of their wilderness skills to the test during this minimalist multi-day hike. There are countless treasures to discover while backpacking in the Mount Eddy backcountry. Much of this trip will be experienced off trail in high mountain terrain with views that will keep you in wonder and awe. This backpacking trip does require students to be in healthy physical and mental shape. It is a challenging week due to the terrain, elements, distance covered and the weight each student carries.
Requirements: 13years and older. This is an advanced backpacking trip. Participants must be able to carry their own full pack, including a portion of the group’s food, off trail in rugged terrain for 7-10 miles a day.
