We have had many requests from students to have time on our land that is unstructured. With that in mind, we are creating options where individuals can use the land as a retreat during designated periods. Headwaters has an organic garden and greenhouse, and outdoor and indoor shower facility, and a laundry facility
There is as much or as little activity as each individual may require. For those who would like to have more instruction, Tim Corcoran will be available for nature awareness hikes or more personalized activities and will share the ancient skills of fire-making, creating a fire kit, cordage and edible plant identification. Special day trips can be planned as well to Mt. Shasta or an overnight trip to the Lava Beds and bird sanctuary. There will be opportunity to work in our garden where we raise organic vegetables for eating in the classes and for canning to be enjoyed year-round. Sweat Lodge may be available as well.
We will provide lunch and dinner. We will have coffee/tea set up for breakfast and cold cereal but no formal cooking will be done at breakfast. Each person is responsible for his/her own breakfast needs and clean up which is vital in bear country. The land use will be limited to 8 – 10 people at a time during the retreat periods. We can also arrange for special personalized group activities up to 14 people.
We will charge $75 a-day which includes lunch and dinner, sleeping in one of our many bark tipis or camping with your own tent.
For camping only (bring your own food), cost is $30/day. (No R.V. hookups. Tent camping only).
