I Live Here

Headwaters Land

I live here where the water runs clear and I can drink from the earth with no vessel between it and my lips.
I live here with the pack, and I am watched over.
I live here where I help grow and raise what I eat, where I physically participate in living my life.
I live here with the honey bees, and sacred gardens and the towering trees.
I live here where smell is welcomed and nothing is avoided through a mask.
I live here where the blue sky is really blue, and green has far more shades than I can count.
I live here where my backyard has no fences and keeps me humble and aware of who else resides in the forest.
I live here through four glorious seasons, and grateful for what each one brings, even the challenges.
I live here where days vanish as if minutes, where calendars have little use because it doesn't matter what the name of the day is, weekends, work days and play are all the same.
I live here where I'm tired from a maxed out full day of living, and wake ready to jump in fully again, not knowing what each day will bring.
I live here where my home itself is a natural work of art, where it inspires me, and my personal art is a constant prayer.
I live here where my neighbors are my interdependent community, my true social security, and my friends.
I live here where people acknowledge each other and wave hello when you drive by.
I live here where I know I make a difference each day, and whether anyone else is aware of it or not, I am.
I live here in abundance and love.
I live here in complete gratitude.
I live fully here.
